Academy (ages 8-10)

Who should attend:

• Recreational players looking for additional professional training beyond practicing with their team
• Recreational players interested in gaining the skills and knowledge to play travel soccer
• The Academy program accepts a maximum of 30 players per age group:
  • Boys U9
  • Boys U10
  • Girls U9
  • Girls U10

• Sessions are held twice a week.
• Sessions start with skills development and technical training, concluding with in-house small sided games.
• The Academy program also plays 3-4 four games (during the Saturday sessions), played against other academy teams from surrounding clubs.
• Academy is offered in the fall and spring.
• Instructors: Instructors include Valley AFC professional staff and coaches, assisted by recreational coaches, college and high school players. Traditionally, maximum coach to players ratio is 1:12.

• Days/Times: Thursdays 6:15-7:30 pm & Saturdays 10:30am-11:45am
• Dates: September 4h through October 23rd
• Location: XPEDX Field in Salem (across from Lee-Hi Lanes)
• Cost: $135.00 (cost includes uniform top, shorts & socks)
• Games: 3-4 Saturday Games, details TBA (games within a 1 hour drive)
• Registration Deadline: August 27, 2010
