  • Girls Varsity
    • William Byrd: Katie Abelseth (Junior/U16G Green), Taylor Gallagher (Sophomore/U19G Green), Haley Overstreet (Senior/U19G Green), Paige Ross (Freshman/U15G Black) and Stacy Shrader (Sophomore/U19G Green) all scored a goal, to lead the Terriers past Amherst County 6-4 in the first round of the Region III tournament.

    • Glenvar: Keeper Paige Stinson (Freshman/U15G Green) made 13 saves in the Three Rivers District championship match.  Glenvar lost the game  1-0 to Radford.

    • Glenvar: Keeper Paige Stinson (Freshman/U15G Green) made 6 saves in the Three Rivers District semifinal shutout win over Floyd County.
    • Lord Botetourt: Gretchen Goldsmith (Freshman/U15G Green) and Hannah Stuart (Freshman/U15G Green) both scored to help lead the Cavaliers past Staunton River 7-4 in the Blue Ridge District semi-final game.
    • William Byrd: Haley Overstreet (Senior/U19G Green) scored off a corner kick by Katie Abelseth (Junior/U16G Green). Keeper Hannah Henley (Junior/U19G Green) made 6 saves in the Terriers 2-1 win over Northside in the Blue Ridge District semi-final game

  • Girls Varsity
    • Northside: Trish Flick (Freshman/U15G Green) scored a goal from midfield with seconds left to tie the game 1-1 against Lord Botetourt.  The Vikings went on to win 2-1 win in overtime to win the District.

    • Hidden Valley: Robert Amick (Senior/U19B Green) scored the winning goal and keeper Jacob Bartel (Senior/U19B Green) had 8 saves in the Titans’ 1-0 win over Cave Spring.  Knights’ keeper Adam Guyes (Senior/U17B Green) made 10 saves in the loss.

    • Cave Spring: Alex Nguyen (Sophomore/U16B Green) had an assist in the Knights’ 7-1 win over Christiansburg.
    • Salem: Michael Stick (Senior/U19B Green) scored on a header to lead the Spartans past Hidden Valley 1-0. Titans’ keeper Jacob Bartel (Senior/U19B Green) had 12 saves in the loss.

    • Hidden Valley: Sarah Brown (Freshman/U15G Green) had an assist in the Titans’ 8-0 win over Pulaski.
    • William Byrd: Katie Abelseth (Junior/U16G Green) scored 2 goals and Haley Overstreet (Senior/U19G Green) scored with 10 minutes left in the game to earn the Terriers a 3-3 tie against Staunton River.

    • Salem: Michael Stick (Senior/U19B Green) had a hat trick in the Spartans’ 4-0 win over Christiansburg.

    • Hidden Valley: Tim Radford (Senior/U19B Green) scored a hat trick, Tyler Blankenship (Junior/U19B Green) scored 2 goals and Taylor Shumate (Senior/U19B Green) had a goal to lead the Titans past Christiansburg 7-0.  Titans’ keeper Jacob Bartel  (Senior/U19B Green) had 5 saves.

    • William Byrd: Katie Abelseth (Junior/U16G Green) had a hat trick and 2 assists to lead the Terriers to a 8-0 win over Alleghany. Katie currently leads William Byrd in scoring with 9 goals.

    • Cave Spring: Adam Guyes (Senior/U17B Green) had 12 saves in the Knights 1-0 loss to Salem.
    • Hidden Valley: Tyler Blankenship (Junior/U19B Green) converted on a PK in the Titans’ 5-1 loss to Blacksburg.
    • Franklin County: Keeper Mac Phillips (Senior/U19B Green) had 8 saves in the Eagles’ 3-0 loss to Patrick Henry.
    • Glenvar: Keeper Cory Thompson (Sophomore/U15B Green) had 8 saves in the Highlanders’ 1-0 loss to Auburn.
    • Northside: Keeper Zach Large (Junior/U19B Green) converted on a PK and had 11 saves to lead the Vikings to a 2-1 win over Staunton River.

    • Franklin County: With minutes left in the game against George Washington, Conner Hardy (Junior/U17B Green) sprinted the length of the field to score a goal and cement a 2-0 win for the Eagles.  It was Conner’s first district play goal.
