2014 Region 2000 Cup: 7 Championships & 2 Finalists

August 31st, 2014: The Xpress won 7 Championships and had 2 Finalists in the 2014 Region 2000 Cup in Lynchburg, VA.  The strong performance of our teams shows the strength of our Xpress travel program.

Xpress 03 Girls Green

In their travel debut, the girls went 3-1-0.  After losing to SVU 4-0, the Xpress faced them again in the championship game winning 2-1.

Xpress 02 Girls Green

The girls went undefeated going 3-0-1, outscoring their opponents 19-2.  They won the championship game 4-0.

The boys went undefeated going 3-0-1, outscoring opponents 14-2.

The girls had a perfect record going 4-0-0, outscoring opponents 10-2.  They won a hard fought championship game 3-2.

The boys had a perfect 4-0-0 record outscoring opponents 13-4.  The boys won the championship game 3-2.

Xpress 99 Girls Green

The girls went undefeated going 3-0-1 and outscored opponents 16-2.   The division they competed in had them play 4 games (no championship game). In their final game they trailed CVU 2-0 with 7 minutes to go.   They scored 2 goals to tie the game up.  Despite having the identical record as CVU, they were finalists because of the 4th tiebreaker rule (goal differential).

Xpress 98 Boys Green

The boys went 3-1-0 outscoring their opponents 12-3.  After being tied 1-1 in the championship game and a scoreless overtime, the team lost on penalty kicks.
