VAFC Xpress Tournament Success (Part 2)

VAFC Xpress Tournament Success (Part 2)

As the bitterly cold weather began to set in, VAFC Xpress teams hit the road for the last time in 2016. With the younger girls teams travelling to Richmond for the Capital Fall Classic (Girls Weekend) and some of our older teams heading to Williamsburg for the 2017 CCL Shootout. We were lucky enough to have success at both events!

Jason Huntley pictured with his U12G Green team. After a good showing in the Skyline Premier League the U12G Green capped off their season with a finalist placing in the Capital Fall Classic. Hard work paying off for our young ladies.

The U15G Green continued their improved second half of the season by finishing 2ndplace in the CCL Shootout. The girls worked extremely hard after a slow start to Fall 2016. Congratulations to them and Tom Brown for all of their hard work!

New VAFC Xpress coach James Hill and his U16B Green team celebrated their 2ndtournament win of the season at the CCL Shootout in Williamsburg. A great all around effort from the team; finishing unbeaten on the weekend.

The U18G Green team ended their incredible Fall 2016 season as the CCL Shootout Champions. The girls brought with them the same form that saw them finish their league season as the undefeated Skyline Premier League Champions. Congratulations to Tom Brown and the girls!

For the majority of the U19G Green team the CCL Shootout was the last time they would don the VAFC Xpress uniform. Finishing their youth soccer career in the best way possible, with a Tournament Championship! It was a day of mixed emotions as the girls held the championship trophy while saying their goodbyes. We will keep you updated on these ladies as they make their final college decisions.
